Design Philosophy

The internet is a new and different kind of medium for communication. It is interactive with those who use it rather than being simply a one way stream of information. And because it is different, it needs to engage people differently than print, radio, and television.

A web site needs to be easy to read as well as visually interesting. Information must be broken up into easily handled chunks because reading a computer screen is more difficult than reading text on paper. The user has to be able to understand how to move around on the site in order to find what they came to find. And the information on the site needs to be structured in a way that makes search engines rank the page well enough that users find out about the site in the first place.

Our approach to designing web sites takes the following three criteria and attempts to maximize the impact that your site creates.

Graphics and Animation

It is true, if a site is too plain then visitors may discount it as being ameteur and leave before giving it a chance. But with too many images fighting for their attention, the result could be even worse. We try to find a balance between these two extremes.

Navigation

If someone arrives at your site then they are looking for something. If is actually on your site then the best way to satisfy your visitor is to make sure they find it and easily.

Search Engines

There are two ways for someone to find your site. Either you tell them about it, or they find your site in a search engine. Search engines are how you increase your exposure.
